For a group that might be interested in owning and operating a larger farm, adjacent property is also available to consider for purchase.  This adjacent land would add approximately 100,000 m2 to the contiguous the site.

One of the key advantages of the the site is it’s location.  Via Ferry Boat from Yenikapi  in Istanbul, the city of Bandırma can be reached in two hours – then, it is a twenty minute drive from the ferry boat landing to the farm.  By private yacht  – the trip from Istanbul can be made across the Marmara Sea in approximately two to four hours (depending upon the type of vessel one uses).   By helicopter,  it can be reached in thirty to forty-five minutes from Dolmabahce Palace or from Ataturk International Airport.

History Summary :

Historically, the territory of the farm was occupied by the Dolions Tribe in 1,200 B.C. when the name of Kapidag was Mysia.  In the 7th Century B.C. the area was ruled by the people of Melitos – who developed an important culture and became famous for it’s gold / silver coins (called Cyzikene).  In the 6th Century B.C. the region came under Persian domination during the reign of Darius.  In 334 B.C. Alexander the Great invaded and occupied the territory.  Then, the Roman era began.  It lasted until the 14th century A.D. when, under the reign of Osman Gazi, it passed to the Ottomans.

Each of these ancient civilizations contributed for thousands of years to the richness of the soil and to growing quality olive trees.  This historical tradition is now continuing at the site.

It is a region of natural beauty with rainbows, migrating birds, green forests, and naturally growing wild herbs.  It is a peaceful and historic site located away from the noisy bustle of cities – yet it can be reached from Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, and other major cities quickly.  The farm land is not plagued with air pollution nor with activities which disturb tranquility.  The site is refreshing to the soul as well as to the trees and plants.

Section Two :
