If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing beach instead of a beach club, Baykuş Beach is the beach for you. Baykuş Beach is Mimar Sinan Fine Arts School’s hangout place in the black sea. It can be accessed by car but they also have a private service that requires reservation.
With it’s km long beach, cool water, abundant oxygen, delicious food and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for relaxing away from the city crowds. At night you can pitch your tent and spend the night there and admire the stars. Food in restaurant are quite delicious and cheap compared to places of the same degree.
To get there take the metro towards Haciosman Metro Station and take the No: 152 bus towards Gümüşdere (Sarıyer – Kısırkaya) and get off at Adile Sadullah Mermerci Polis Meslek Eğitim Merkezi. Entrance is right next to Polis Eğitim Merkezi.
Open every day from 9 am to 9 pm. Entrance fee is 12.5 TRY on weekdays and 25 TRY on weekends. Parking, sunbed, umbrella and shower are included in that price. There are lifeguards waiting ready for your safety. You can make a reservation for special occasions and celebrations. One downside is you can bring food or bewerages from outside, which is understandable if you consider how hard it is to keep a beach clean. There is also a camping area which you can use. If you’d like to rent a tent you will need to pay 20 TRY extra besides admission fee.
